Meet Our Founders
Founded by a mother-and-daughter duo with a shared love of self-expression and storytelling, our online boutique was born from one simple idea: fashion should be fun — not fast. With so many clothes in the world, we wanted to bring back what’s been missing — style with substance.
About Jay
For years, I felt stuck in a style rut — constantly buying clothes from high-street and online brands, yet nothing ever truly felt like me. The older I got, the more I craved intention — I wanted my wardrobe to reflect who I was becoming, not who I thought I should be.
During lockdown, like so many of us, I had time to pause and reflect. I decided to do something about my creative restlessness. I began reading, writing, and immersing myself in art, film, and photography. I unfollowed influencers and removed content that didn’t feed my soul. That’s when I rediscovered my love for vintage fashion, especially the effortless cool of the 80s and 90s.
So, to the thrift stores I went.
What started as a personal mission to refine my style quickly became something more — a passion. Through thrifting, I found joy, expression, and a sense of self I’d been missing. I began sharing my finds and styling tips on TikTok, and to my surprise, a beautiful community formed. Women would comment things like, “I have the eye,” “I want to go thrifting with you,” and “I love your style.”
And that’s how LuxLifeCloset was born — a space to celebrate creativity, sustainability, and the thrill of discovering pieces that feel authentically you.
